The HQ of the Band in Winwick Place has recently become a lot cooler thanks to the installation of an air conditioning system.
Two internal wall-mounted air conditioning units with externally-mounted condensers have now been installed in our band room and community hall, enabling our members and other community groups to use the facility in a pleasant and comfortable environment with doors and windows closed and minimal disturbance to our immediate neighbours.
The Veolia Environmental Trust have once again supported the project and awarded a grant of £5,000 through the Landfill Communities Fund. The Band is extremely grateful to them and to The Heart of England Co-operative for providing the balance of funding required.
