Bilton Silver (Rugby) Band has, for many years, fully supported and encouraged the training of young and not so young brass players. Alongside serving the local community, it has been our belief that the training of our own young members is key to the success and future of Bilton Silver. Although the progression from Training Band to membership of Bilton Silver takes several years to come to fruition, you only need to look around the stands to see that the commitment to training over many years has been a most successful policy with several of our own current and past trainees now playing a key part in the success of Bilton Silver. By any standards, we already have something quite special and unusual at Bilton Silver and with an ever-growing Training Band of 50+ members, ages ranging from about 5 upwards, there has never been a better opportunity to extend the work that we do. With this thriving success in mind, we were delighted to launch two new groups, Bilton Silver ‘Mini Brass’ and Bilton Silver ‘Academy 4 Youth’ as new initiatives in 2012. Both groups are already flourishing as we enter 2016. The new 4 stage Training Band structure offers incentive and progression to all members with a clear pathway for success in place. This is a very exciting time for Bilton Silver and the future looks bright!
